Lonadek Nigeria Limited (Lonadek Inc.) is pleased to announce the appointment of Engr. Olubunmi Obembe and Mrs. Adesola Sotande-Peters as Non-Executive Directors effective January 22, 2018. Their appointments are in line with provisions of the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company and the Companies and Allied Matters Act Cap C20, LFN 2004.
Engr. Olubunmi Obembe brings with him over 37 years leadership experience and knowledge in the Oil and Gas industry to the Board. He will play a key role in meeting the company’s aggressive growth goals as well as building on the firm’s outstanding reputation for service delivery to her clients. He started his career in then Elf Petroleum Nigeria Limited (now Total (E&P) Nigeria Limited) where he rose to increasing levels of responsibilities. In his 35 years career with Total, he has successful track records in Operations, Procurement & Contracts, and Oil & Gas Commercial. He held various executive-level management positions for about 10 years, before retiring as Commercial Director in 2015. At the industry level, he was one of the industry leaders on the subject of Local Content development, and Gas monetization in Nigeria. He currently serves on many company Boards in Non-Executive capacities. He also chairs the Board of ICE (International Centre for Energy) West Africa, an energy consulting firm based in Lagos.
He is COREN registered; Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers; Member, Institute of Directors; Member, Advisory Board of the Nigeria Gas Association; Life Member, Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce; and a former member of the Inter-Ministerial committee on local fabrication of pipes in Nigeria.
Mrs. Adesola Sotande-Peters joins the Board with over 23 years international experience involving business valuations, corporate strategy and finance. The knowledge, expertise and experience she brings to the Board further strengthens and reinforces our position as professional service providers. Mrs. Sotande-Peters is the Vice-President Finance, Unilever Ghana/Nigeria. Some of her notable achievements in Unilever Ghana/Nigeria includes playing a pivotal role in driving business growth and value creation during a period of very challenging conditions; impacting the business significantly beyond her core functional responsibility; driving an impactful Finance agenda; as well as putting into place Control practices adopted across the region. She joined Unilever Ghana/Nigeria from Diageo where she led the development of an Expert Finance function; rolled out the Business Partnering concept across functions; spearheaded the implementation of Business Warehouse, as well as ensured full CARM (Control Assurance Risk Management) compliance among others.
She is a Chartered Accountant, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, an Alumni of Manchester Business School (United Kingdom), and the Overall Best CFO (Chief Financial Officer) FCMG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) 2017.
