Course Overview

The NEBOSH International Certificate in Construction Safety is a must for all those who are serious about wanting to gain a strong knowledge in the field of health and safety within the construction environment. There are no prerequisite entry requirements for this NEBOSH International Construction Certificate level qualification.
This construction qualification is aimed at those who are required to provide routine, day-to-day advice on health, safety, and welfare in the construction work environment. This course will enable the learner to become competent in making a construction activity safe while complying with appropriate regional legislation.

Management of International Health and Safety Unit:

International Construction Certificate:
  • Foundations in health and safety
  • Health and safety management systems: Plan
  • Health and safety management systems: Do
  • Health and safety management systems: Check
  • Health and safety management systems: Act
Health and Safety Practical Application:
  • Students will carry out a safety management inspection of a construction Workplace (Unaided) and identify the common hazards, control systems, and suggest appropriate, cost-effective control measures, where necessary.
  • Prepare a persuasive report that urges management to employ appropriate action and explaining why these actions are needed. The report must demonstrate a candidates’ mindfulness of reasonable and practicable control measures, which should be implemented.

At the end of this course, participants will understand:

  • International standards for health and safety at work
  • Implementation of health and safety management systems
  • Identification of workplace hazards
  • Methods of risk control within the construction industry
  • Practical application of knowledge and understanding

Available annually in the months of March / June / September / December.

Duration: For this qualification, a participant should plan for approximately 165 hours of private study.

This construction qualification is aimed at construction workers foremen, site managers and those who are required to provide routine, day-to-day advice on health, safety and welfare in construction work environment.
